What is SEO?

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. It is the so called technique that consists of several methods of writing, linking and web design to increase the placement of a web page on a search Engine results page for a certain search terms / keywords.

How Search Engine Works

Major search engine services have a program called crawler that reads your web page and store it in their database. From the data they collected about your web pages, search engine’s algorithms will determine what topics that were related to your pages. The topics of your pages then become keywords in their databases. When somebody enter a keyword in the Google search bar for example, Google will try to fetch the pages that they think relevant to the keywords entered. Google then lists that relevant pages address from their databases in a manner of the most relevant to the most irrelevant of the probably relevant pages. That search result pages provided by Search Engines is what we call SERP (Search Engine Results Pages)

What do I get with SEO?

By applying SEO technique, combined with writing standards, your pages will appear frequently in the SERP several first pages for the keyword you want. When your web pages have great ranking in the SERP, especially for a popular keyword searches, it is likely that more traffic will come to your site. And that means more revenues.
